9th Avenue (in front of the 9th Ave. Garages) Closes to Thru-Traffic on Monday (5/21)

Beginning Monday, May 21, 9th Ave. in front of the 9th Ave. Garages will be closed to thru-traffic to replace and restore the roadway. Throughout the project, pedestrian and vehicular traffic to the 9th Ave. parking garages will be maintained, as explained below.

CABS (map) and COTA will be rerouted down King Ave. during the construction. Customers are encouraged to use King Ave. to access other campus destinations. The 9th Ave. roadway work is scheduled through July 2012.

 

Maintaining Traffic to Garages
Phases 1 & 2 ... May 21 - Jun 18 (est.)

  • 9th Ave. West Garage customers must enter the facility from Medical Center Drive, using the west entrance, and exit north onto 9th Ave., turning east toward Neil Ave.
  • 9th Ave. East Garage customers will enter from the northeast corner on 9th Ave. (from Neil Ave.), and exit either (1) at the northwest corner onto 9th ave., turning east toward Neil Ave. or (2) on the east side, into the alley, turning north toward 9th Ave.

 

Maintaining Traffic to Garages
Phase 3 ... Jun 18 - Jul 31 (est.)

  • 9th Ave. West Garage customers must enter the facility from Medical Center Drive, using the west entrance, and exit north onto 9th Ave., turning west toward Medical Center Drive.
  • 9th Ave. East Garage customers will enter from the northeast corner on 9th Ave. (from Neil Ave.), and exit either (1) at the northwest corner onto 9th Ave., turning west toward Medical Center Drive or (2) on the east side, into the alley, turning north toward 9th Ave.
