Aug 2 - Millikin Rd to close for construction

On Thursday, August 2, the 17th Avenue project will close the north half of the Millikin and 17th Avenue intersection to complete sewer and utility work. This will eliminate vehicular access to the front of McCracken Power Plant & the Central Service Building and the loading docks at Dreese and Baker Systems. Pedestrian traffic on Millikin will be maintained. Eastbound traffic on 17th Avenue will be maintained. Millikin is expected to reopen on Monday, August 6.

wk of Jul 30 - Woody Hayes, Tuttle Park Place, Cannon Dr.

Final paving along Woody Hayes Dr. and Tuttle Park Place is underway. Traffic will be maintained, but expect various lane shifts as work progresses. Access to Ives will be affected intermittently. The opening of the Woody Hayes & Cannon Dr. intersection will be timed to coincide with the completion of the steam and condensate work continuing on Cannon Dr. near Lincoln Tower, with an expected completion of Aug. 10.

Aug 3-8 - Ackerman & Defiance Dr.

We have been advised that Columbia Gas has scheduled a crossing at Ackerman and Defiance Drive, starting at 9 a.m. on Friday, August 3. Traffic will be maintained on Ackerman, with lane changes. A Defiance Drive detour will be in place between August 3-8. Map.

Aug 6 - tunnel to Cramblett and Dodd

The underground tunnel from Cramblett Medical Clinic to Dodd Hall and Davis Center will close on Monday, Aug. 6, to prepare for demolition of Cramblett Hall later this year. Pedestrians should use above-ground routes to get to Dodd or McCampbell from other areas of the Medical  Center. Map of other underground tunnels.

9th Avenue parking garage changes

To address concerns regarding overcrowding in the 9th Avenue East and West Garages while still ensuring adequate visitor parking spaces during the 12th Avenue garage construction, BG2 and CG2 keycards have been relocated to the 9th Avenue West Garage and no longer have access to the 9th Avenue East Garage. BG2 and CG2 permit holders should park above level 4 in the 9th Avenue West garage to allow patients and visitors to park more closely to their destinations. Aug 1 - transportation available to Buckeye Lot

Can’t find a parking spot at the Med Center? Consider the Buckeye Lot for quick and easy access. CABS will operate a shuttle with 24-hour service (Monday through Friday) from the Buckeye Lot to the Medical Center between Aug. 1 and Dec. 31 while the 12th Avenue Garage is closed for restoration. Anytime the Med Center Express does not run (weekends and holidays), CX permits will be honored in the parking lot west of Cannon Drive. Med Center Express Map.
