District 3 Leader Wes Shinn
Wes Shinn has more than two decades of experience at The Ohio State University, where he has served as Assistant Director of Maintenance, Superintendent of Programmed Maintenance, and Coordinator of Construction and Renovation. Before working at the university, Wes designed fire protection systems for a local contractor and worked for engineering firms where he designed plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems. Retired from the military, Wes completed multiple assignments during his 23 years of service. His service included active duty assignments and 19 years of various assignments with the reserves, including performing environmental assessments for closing reserve facilities, and kitchen, roofing and rifle upgrades. Wes has an associate degree in heating and air conditioning and a bachelor’s in education.
Zone 1 Leader Karen Crabbe
Karen has 20 years of experience and training in facilities management. As part owner of Servpro of Southwest Columbus, she helped supervise cleaning crews on fire and flood restoration projects and on various cleaning contracts. Karen has spent 25 years with the YMCA, the last three as Director and CEO of the Marion Family YMCA. Zone 2 Leader Mike Lyles
Mike has been with Ohio State for 23 years in the Environmental Services Department, as Medical Center Facilities Engineering Manager and as liaison for the Medical Center for the College of Medicine facilities. He retired from the U.S. Army, having served two tours in the Middle East.

Zone Leader 3 Jim Bogac
Jim has 12 years of experience in contract operations management with Micro-Clean in Bethlehem, PA. As operations account manager, he was responsible for multiple work crews at various facilities, including pharmaceutical, healthcare, university, and biotechnology firms. Services included performance testing, documentation compliance, decontamination, project management, consulting, and training. Jim spent four years in the nuclear power industry providing reactor outage and refuel services after attending Slippery Rock University in western PA.

Brian joined FOD in February 2006 in the Plant Materials Shop. He has a bachelor’s in Natural Resources, is a certified arborist, and is licensed for pest control applications. He is the recipient of a PRITA Key Values Award, 2007.
