Emergency Lighting

This section contains specifications for the emergency phones throughout the university. You can download any drawing files (all drawings are AutoCAD R14) individually. Note that these details are for reference only. Refer to contract documents for bidding requirements.

 

The AutoCAD drawing file(s) are for your reference on the project you are currently employed by the University to work on. The data contained in the drawing file(s) is issued to you with the following limitations:

  • This data is for reference only. The Consultant, by choosing to use this data, is accepting full responsibility for the data contained on the documents and shall field verify all conditions and statements shown. The University will not be held liable for errors or omissions relating to this information. Clear reference to the origin of the drawings shall be indicated on all applicable sheets, including the date the files were downloaded.
  • This data shall not be used on any other projects or advertisements done by the Consultant.
  • This data shall not be stored or distributed to anyone outside the Consultant's office unless approved in writing.
  • The origination of this data shall be clearly indicated on the final drawing(s) produced by the Consultant ... a note shall be placed on the drawing to read, "Segments of the data shown on this drawing have been provided in digital (electronic) format by The Ohio State University - Facilities Operations and Development for use on this project."

 

To uncompress the zip file(s), copy them onto a hard drive and run pkunzip or WinZip. The result will be uncompressed files in the format you requested. At this point, you can delete .zip file(s) from your hard drive, if you wish. The files will uncompress into the subdirectory that the .zip file(s) is in. You may download a free evaluation version of WinZip.

 

Emergency phones shall be manufactured by Gai-tronics and consist of the following components:

  • Stanchion shall be Gai-tronics model 234-030 (note that this stanchion is OSU-specific).
  • Emergency phone shall be Gai-tronics model 397-001 single-button flush mounted.
  • Strobe light at the top shall be Gai-tronics model 530-001 120 volts AC with LED strobe lamp. Strobe to have a NEMA 3R weatherproof rating, UL listing, and an approximately 10-year lamp.
