COVID-19 FOD Response

Facilities Operations and Development (FOD) has responded to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak by adjusting our cleaning protocols and identifying additional ways to promote health and safety throughout our facilities and shared outdoor spaces.

FOD follows protocols based on CDC best practices for higher education institutions, guidance from state and local health authorities and recommendations of Ohio State’s safe campus and scientific advisory subgroup of the university’s COVID-19 transition task force.

Together as Buckeyes, we all need to do our part to promote health and safety. Our custodial staff uses recommended disinfectant and cleaning supplies, performs daily health checks and is provided with the appropriate PPE for their job functions. A base signage package focused on physical distancing will be deployed by our facilities team and additional signage is available on the UniPrint website.

See a building reactivation schedule. The “Facility Readiness Target” reflects the target date building systems will be activated. Occupants will determine when each building can reopen based on their needs in the university’s phased return to campus.

We encourage anyone with questions to reference our FAQs (below). Thank you in advance for working with us to prioritize the health and wellness of your fellow Buckeyes.
