As early as this week, lane closures will occur on portions of Lane Avenue and Kenny Road. Lane Avenue, between Kenny Road and Carmack Road, will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Meanwhile, southbound Kenny Road will be reduced to one lane across from the Morehouse Complex. Additional work may close Carmack Road, between Lane Avenue and Arthur Adams Drive. Traffic delays are anticipated and motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly. As early as Thursday (6/29), the Olentangy bike trail will close for utility work between Herrick Drive and King Avenue. Cyclists and pedestrians will be detoured to use Cannon Drive. The utility work relates to the upcoming relocation of Cannon Drive and is expected to take place through early August. View map of impacted area.

Construction work continues as the university invests in enhancements to the West Campus Carmack parking lots and the surrounding area. The closure of the southern half of Carmack Lot 2 and Carmack Lot 3, previously planned to occur in June, will be pushed back to early July. In the meantime, work will occur in the area of the northwest corner of Carmack Lot 3. As a result, vehicular traffic will be one-way, southbound on Carmack Loop Drive, west of Carmack Lot 3.

Construction on and around the west campus Carmack surface parking lots continues in advance of Cannon Drive construction. Beginning Monday (6/5), the southern portion of Carmack 2 and Carmack 3 will close. Fences will cause temporary closures of the Carmack 1 and Carmack 4 bus stops. CABS access will be maintained in Carmack 5, Carmack Corners, at Bevis Hall and a temporary stop will be added across from Bevis Hall. The project is expected to last throughout the summer ( see map ). In the coming weeks, work will begin to enhance traffic flow along Lane Avenue.
Beginning Monday (6/5), fences will be installed around the future site of the Herrick Drive Transit Hub west of the Neil Avenue Garage. The north / south walkway, located west of the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion and the Neil Avenue Garage, will be closed. North / south pedestrian access will be maintained on the east side of these buildings. Nine parking spaces along Herrick Drive will be removed and the traffic lanes will shift to make room for the construction fence. The project is expected to last throughout the summer.
