Beginning May 9, southbound College Road will be closed between Woodruff Avenue and the Page Hall loading dock. Westbound Annie and John Glenn Avenue will be closed between College Road and Tuttle Park Place. Northbound Olentangy River Road will be closed between Kinnear Road and Herrick Drive. A major waterline break near the John Herrick Drive bridge has closed Herrick between Olentangy River Road and Cannon Drive. Multiple buildings on the Columbus campus are experiencing low or no water pressure. Crews are actively responding and working to resolve the issue as fast as they safely can. Approximately 35 parking spaces will be closed through May 13 in the Sisson east parking lot to facilitate infrastructure work. Fencing will be installed around the closure and two-way traffic will be maintained.
The east side of the Lane Avenue Parking Garage will be reduced to one exit lane on April 14 due to equipment updates. Traffic delays may be anticipated as vehicles exit the garage.
Beginning April 2 and continuing through May 2, Woody Hayes Drive, between Kenny Road and Fyffe Road, will be reduced to two lanes. Two-way traffic will be maintained and traffic delays are anticipated. Access to Blankenship Hall from Woody Hayes Drive will be maintained. Herrick Drive will remain accessible form Woody Hayes Drive for vehicles needing to park in the Parker Food Science and Technology Building lot.
Beginning April 4 and continuing through April 30, building masonry repair work will occur on the north side of Harding Hospital. During this time, a portion of the sidewalk adjacent to the repairs will be fenced off, however pedestrian access will be maintained.
As early as Thursday, March 31 and continuing through the end of May 2022, increased construction traffic will occur along Carmack Road, between Kenny Road and the eastern footbridge near Rightmire Hall. Two-way traffic will be maintained.
The additional construction vehicles support infrastructure work required for construction projects in the Innovation District.
Beginning early Monday, March 28 through Friday, July 8, the exit south of the Martha Morehouse Tower in the complex will be closed onto Kenny Road. Shuttles will be rerouted. Riders are encouraged to allow additional time for travel.
The Wexner Medical Center Transplant Reunion event will take place on Sunday, April 3 from 10 a.m. until noon and event setup will begin on Saturday, April 2 at noon. The section of 10th Avenue between the plaza and the Spirit of Women’s Park will be closed during the event. There will be an increase in vehicular and pedestrian traffic prior to the event and for the duration of the Transplant Reunion. No major traffic impacts or CABS service delays or reroutes are anticipated during this time.
From Monday, March 28 through Sunday, April 3, the Starling Loving and Fry Hall courtyard will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian access. Ambulettes will park in the Prior Hall dock and ADA parking will be available in the 11th Avenue and 9th Avenue East garages. From Monday, April 4 through Friday, April 22, sidewalks west of Starling Loving and Fry Hall will be closed. Signage will reroute pedestrians north of Prior Hall. From Monday, April 4 through Sunday, April 15 portions of the Brain and Spine loop will be reduced to a single traffic lane.
