On March 17, starting at 7 a.m. and continuing through mid-evening, Cannon Drive between John Herrick Drive and 12th Avenue will be reduced to one lane for a crane lift. On March 16, beginning at 7 a.m. and continuing through mid-day, the area west of Baker Systems Engineering will be closed for a crane lift. Pedestrians may use the sidewalk on the east side of Central Service Building. Alternate ADA parking is available at Tuttle Park Place Garage or Northwest Garage. The roadway and Baker Systems loading docks will be blocked, but delivery vehicles may park temporarily at Baker Systems’ south driveway to facilitate short-term drop-off or pick-up.
Beginning March 12 at 6 a.m. and continuing through March 16 late afternoon, there will be lane restrictions on Neil Avenue west of Pomerene Hall for installation of a new curb. Two-way traffic will be maintained, but the Campus Loop North and West Campus buses will be rerouted onto 11th Avenue, serving the Baker East, Siebert Hall, and Mack Hall bus stops. The Honors House bus stop will not be serviced during this time.
On March 9, beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing through late afternoon, the roadway between Starling-Loving Hall and Hamilton Hall will be closed for a crane lift. Patient access to the Brain and Spine Hospital will be via the western loop, temporarily configured for 2-way traffic during the closure. Access to the Hamilton Hall parking lot will maintained via temporary two-way traffic.
On March 8, beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing through early afternoon, the sidewalk and entrance to the 4-H Center will be blocked for a crane lift. Access to the building will be maintained via the building's west entrance.
Beginning Monday (2/26) and continuing through early May, the sidewalk on the south side of John Herrick Drive, between the Biomedical Research Tower (BRT) and Wiseman Hall, will be closed for construction of an emergency vehicle access drive east of BRT. Eastbound and westbound pedestrian traffic along this sidewalk will be detoured west of BRT or east of Wiseman Hall to access 12th Avenue. The construction is required for future phasing of the Cannon Drive relocation project. Dates are weather dependent and subject to change. Construction of the new, enclosed shelter at the Herrick Drive Transit Hub began Tuesday, February 13. Pedestrian access will be maintained around the transit hub and along the crosswalks during the construction. Amenities of the new shelter will include heating, cooling and wi-fi. Construction of the shelter will occur over the next several weeks. Completion timelines are weather dependent and subject to change.
Energy conservation measures will improve lighting at dozens of campus buildings and create a more efficient heating and cooling system for a campus laboratory building through capital projects to be launched in spring 2018.

On Thursday (2/1) and Friday (2/2), eastbound Woody Hayes Drive, between the east side of the Woody Hayes bridge and the St. John Arena (EB) bus stop, will be reduced to one lane. CABS will continue to service this stop. On Monday (2/12) and Tuesday (2/13), Cannon Drive, near Ohio Stadium and the Drake Performance and Event Center, will be reduced to one lane. As early as Monday (1/29) and continuing through mid-February, the Olentangy bike trail will be impacted between Woody Hayes Drive and John Herrick Drive for soil borings occurring in the area. Closures will rotate between the upper and lower trails in this area, however one trail will be maintained at all times for northbound and southbound bicycle traffic. Detour signage will be posted.
