On October 27, from early morning to mid afternoon, areas west and north of Enarson Classroom Building will be closed for a crane lift. The covered walkway south of Tuttle Park Place Garage will remain accessible to pedestrians. The southwest entry to the loading dock will remain open.
Beginning October 22, early morning, and continuing through November 2, late afternoon, the "moat" around Lincoln Tower will be closed for construction in the area. Alternative parking, including ADA spaces, will be available in the Midtower Lot. The loading dock will remain accessible. Work will take place during week days (Monday - Friday), with the area reopened for the weekends.
Columbus Business First recently featured The Ohio State University's Celeste Lab construction project.
Celeste Lab is one of the busiest facilities on the Ohio State's Columbus campus. As Business First reported, renovation for the lab, built in 1986, was approved for $3.9 million in professional services, including design, during the August board of trustees meetings and is included in the school's fiscal year 2019 Capital Investment Plan.
"Celeste Lab accommodates approximately 75,000 credit hours per year and delivers laboratory instruction to approximately 10 percent of the student population," Ohio State spokesman Dan Hedman told the outlet.
Beginning October 15 early morning and continuing through October 21 late afternoon, the parking lot at Orton Hall will be closed for restoration. ADA parking will be available north of the Faculty Club. ADA detour signage will be in place.
Beginning October 15 early morning and continuing through October 19 mid afternoon, John Herrick near the veterinary hospitals will experience lane restrictions, with northbound traffic being maintained in one lane.
Beginning Thursday (10/4) at 7 a.m. and continuing through Friday (10/5) late afternoon, the central portion of the east/west long walk through the Oval and a section to the north of Mendenhall Laboratory will be closed for construction. Detour signage will be in place.
Beginning Monday (10/8) early morning and continuing through Friday (10/12) late afternoon, eastbound traffic on Woody Hayes Drive and Woodruff Avenue will experience rolling lane restrictions, and the south sidewalk will experience rolling closures. Construction will begin at CBEC and progress westward to Plumb Hall. CABS routes will not be detoured. Traffic control officials will be onsite to direct drivers and pedestrians.
Beginning Thursday (9/20) at 7 a.m. and continuing through Friday (9/21) late afternoon, the east portion of the east/west long walk through The Oval will be closed for construction. Detour signage will be in place, with the recommended pedestrian detour shown as the dashed green line.
