The university is investing in improvements to support transportation and parking changes related to the upcoming relocation of Cannon Drive, expected to begin as early as September. West campus construction will begin this week and run through the summer. The work will enhance shuttle service, increase capacity, create easier entry/exit points and add traffic signals.

On Wednesday (5/17) and Tuesday (5/30), beginning at 8 a.m. and continuing through 5 p.m., a section of eastbound Lane Ave. between Neil Ave. and High St. will be reduced to one lane for a crane lift to Taylor Tower. One eastbound lane will be maintained. The sidewalk on the south side of Lane Ave. and some surrounding secondary sidewalks will be closed. Detour signage will be in place for pedestrians. Emergency access, ADA parking, and the service drives to the Taylor Service Court and Jones Service Court will be maintained.
On Monday (5/15), beginning at noon and continuing through approximately 2:30 p.m., Medical Center Drive will be reduced to one lane near Prior Hall for a crane lift. The area will be coned and taped, and workers will be onsite to assist with any ADA special needs. The west entrance of Prior Hall will remain accessible.

On May 10, beginning at 7 a.m. and continuing through 5 p.m., Neil Avenue between 11th Avenue and 12th Avenue will be restricted to northbound traffic only for a crane lift at Oxley Hall. The east sidewalk will be closed, and pedestrians will be directed to use the west sidewalk. CABS reroutes .
Beginning on May 8 and continuing through June 16, Neil Avenue between Thompson Library and 12th Avenue will be closed for utility work. Pedestrians will be directed to use the east sidewalk. Emegency vehicles can access the area via the north gate.
Beginning May 8 at 7 a.m. and continuing through May 19 at 5 p.m., westbound traffic on Annie & John Glenn Avenue between the Tuttle Park Place curve and Millikin Road will be closed because of utility work, as will the north sidewalk. Eastbound traffic will be maintained, and pedestrians will be directed to use the south sidewalk. Westbound traffic will be detoured onto Lane Avenue.
Beginning April 28 at 5 p.m. and continuing through 7 p.m., the roadway between Starling-Loving Hall and Hamilton Hall will be closed for a crane lift. Patient access to the Brain and Spine Hospital will be via the western loop, temporarily configured for 2-way traffic during the closure. The Hamilton Hall parking lot will accommodate exiting vehicles only, no entering vehicles.
On Monday, May 8, at 12:01 a.m., and continuing through mid-August, Ohio Union North Garage will close to facilitate restoration of the parking decks, ramps, and structure. Alternate parking is available in Gateway, 11th Avenue, and Arps Garages. Updates will be available at osu.campusparc.com .
