The City of Columbus will perform utility work at three campus locations. Traffic control officers will be in place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to maintain one lane of traffic in each direction. Beginning Monday morning (12/19) and continuing through Friday (12/23) afternoon, Neil Ave., south of Herrick Drive and north of 12th Ave., will be closed to thru-traffic for utility work. Detour signage will be in place. Access to the Neil Ave. Garage will be via Cannon Drive to Herrick Drive. The roadway will remain accessible to emergency vehicles.
On Saturday, Dec. 10, from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., Woodruff Ave. between Tuttle Park Place and the Scott House loading dock will be closed to thru-traffic for a crane lift at Hitchcock Hall. The sidewalks between Hitchcock Hall and the Physics Building will be closed, as will the southeast entrance of Schoenbaum Hall. Detour signage will be in place. During this time, the Buckeye Village CABS route will proceed to RPAC Plaza and return north, not servicing the University Hall, 17th & College Rd., Arps Hall, Blackburn House, and Mason Hall stops.
On Thursday, Dec. 1, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., moving trucks will be parked along Magruder Road, and approximately four ADA parking spaces near the Smith Lab loading dock will be blocked off for equipment delivery to Smith Lab. Additional ADA parking is available at Arps Garage.
The city of Columbus is continuing its initiative to improve the public infrastructure on West 3rd Avenue between Olentangy River Road and Edgehill Road. The project will facilitate traffic flow, improve safety and provide pedestrian and bicyclist accommodations. Construction will begin November 28, 2016, and end autumn 2017, subject to weather conditions.

The loop in front of University Hospital and the Ross Heart Hospital will be closed starting at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, through the end of the day on Sunday, Nov. 13. Pedestrian and vehicular access will not be permitted in this area. To access University Hospital or the Ross Heart Hospital, pedestrians should use the connector from the SafeAuto Hospitals Garage to the Ross Heart Hospital. On Monday (11/7) and continuing through mid-November, the sidewalk located on the west side of College Road at 18th Avenue will be closed for continued roadway work in the area. Pedestrians will be detoured to use the sidewalk on the east side of College Road. The roadway work will extend partially into College Road, however vehicular traffic will be maintained.
As preparations continue for future projects in the Wexner Medical Center, additional construction traffic may be noticed along Cannon Drive beginning Monday, October 31. While some traffic impacts are anticipated, traffic control officers will be on-site during peak times to assist motorists. This information is being shared to make motorists aware of extra activity in the area so that they may plan accordingly.
On Wednesday, Nov. 2, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Millikin Road north of Annie and John Glenn Ave. will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic for a crane lift. Vehicles should be removed from the parking spaces located between McCracken Power Plant and Baker Systems Engineering by 8 a.m. Pedestrians will be detoured to the east side of Baker Systems Engineering. Alternate ADA parking is available at Tuttle Park Place parking garage. The east entrance of McCracken will be closured during this time.
