Beginning Monday (June 27) and continuing through Friday (July 1), crews will be replacing a light pole and its concrete foundation, along Medical Center Drive, between 9th and 10th Avenues. One lane of traffic, between 10th and 9th Avenues, will be closed. Northbound traffic to the valet area and Rhodes Hall loop will be maintained. The sidewalk on the east side of Medical Center Drive, near Meiling Hall, will be closed.
Beginning Tuesday, June 21, and continuing through early August, Carmack Road, between Bevis Hall and the Carmack Road corner, will be closed for roadway improvements. The north / south portion of Carmack Road, between Arthur Adams Drive and the corner, will be southbound only. 2016 Summer Construction, Traffic & CABS Impacts - Increased construction activity in summer 2016 (beginning May 9) will significantly impact traffic and CABS routes on campus roadways. Beginning Monday (4/11) and continuing for approximately 2 weeks, the main entrance to the Faculty Club will be closed for restoration and repair. All visitors should use the east entrance during construction.
On Saturday, April 9, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. (est.) , the drive lane between Harding Hospital and Davis Heart and Lung Research Institute will be closed for a crane lift. During this time, EMS vehicular traffic should access the Emergency Department via 12th Avenue to Upham Drive, located between North Cannon Garage and Harding Hospital. Beginning Monday, March 14, and continuing through Saturday, March 19, between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., westbound Woodruff Avenue, from College Road to Scott House, will be closed to public traffic * for landscaping installation near Blackburn House. The north sidewalk will be closed to pedestrians. Traffic control officers will maintain two-way traffic on the south lane for buses, state vehicles, and the eastbound public.
* Detour - Westbound public traffic is recommended to travel south on College Road, west on Glenn Avenue (formerly 17th Avenue), north on Tuttle Park Place, back to Woodruff Avenue.
