Lane closures will occur on Lane Avenue and Kenny Road as early as Thursday morning (7/13).
Lane Ave., between Kenny Road and Carmack Road, will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Meanwhile, southbound Kenny Road will also be reduced to one lane across from the Morehouse Complex. These lane closures align with information previously shared about traffic enhancements on west campus roadways in advance of the Cannon Drive construction.

RESCHEDULED - Beginning Monday (7/17) and continuing through Wednesday (7/19), the driveway on the east side of 1314 Kinnear Road will be reduced to one lane for resurfacing. Two-way traffic will be maintained. The southernmost parking spaces toward Kinnear Road and the first 2-3 parking spaces on each adjacent row in the parking lot will be closed during this time. Motorists may use Lane Avenue to Carmack Road or Kenny Road to Carmack Road as an alternate route. This work supports traffic enhancements on west campus roadways in advance of the Cannon Drive construction.
Construction continues on the future site of the Herrick Drive Transit Hub west of the Neil Avenue Garage. The closure of Herrick Drive, between Neil Drive and the South Campus Central Chiller Plant parking lot, previously scheduled for Monday (7/17), will be moved up to Monday (7/10). As early as Thursday (6/29), the Olentangy bike trail will close for utility work between Herrick Drive and King Avenue. Cyclists and pedestrians will be detoured to use Cannon Drive. The utility work relates to the upcoming relocation of Cannon Drive and is expected to take place through early August. View map of impacted area.
The drive lane between the Davis Heart and Lung Research Institute and the Ohio State Emergency Department (ED) will close on Saturday, July 1, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for a crane lift for surgical pathology relocation project within University Hospital. EMS access will be maintained to the ED. Sidewalks will be impacted in this area. Traffic control officers will be on hand to direct traffic.
Construction work continues as the university invests in enhancements to the West Campus Carmack parking lots and the surrounding area. The closure of the southern half of Carmack Lot 2 and Carmack Lot 3, previously planned to occur in June, will be pushed back to early July. In the meantime, work will occur in the area of the northwest corner of Carmack Lot 3. As a result, vehicular traffic will be one-way, southbound on Carmack Loop Drive, west of Carmack Lot 3.

Beginning Monday (6/12) and continuing through July 2018, the drive lane between Ohio State Harding Hospital and the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute will be closed because of construction to build out the shelled space on the 10th and 12th floors of The James. Upham Drive will be restricted to ambulettes and Harding patient drop-off only. Traffic will be one-way counterclockwise around the Davis Heart and Lung Research Institute to facilitate EMS access to the Emergency Department. Traffic control officers will assist during the construction hours of 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The City of Columbus has advised that utility work will take place along the bike path south of Herrick Drive, during the week of June 5, between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The bike path will remain open, but riders are urged to exercise caution.
Construction on and around the west campus Carmack surface parking lots continues in advance of Cannon Drive construction. Beginning Monday (6/5), the southern portion of Carmack 2 and Carmack 3 will close. Fences will cause temporary closures of the Carmack 1 and Carmack 4 bus stops. CABS access will be maintained in Carmack 5, Carmack Corners, at Bevis Hall and a temporary stop will be added across from Bevis Hall.
