The City of Columbus Division of Sewerage and Drainage is conducting a routine test of the floodgate wall south of the Scioto River this Saturday, November 17. To do this, SR-315 will be closed in both directions between I-70 and I-670 from midnight on Friday, November 16 through mid-morning on Sunday, November 18. In the News: Ohio State to Build One Garage for New Hospital Tower
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center plans to build a new parking garage on the land opened up by relocating Cannon Drive as the first in several steps before building an 840-bed hospital tower.
After the new garage opens, the North and South Cannon garages will come down to make a footprint for the tower to connect to the James Cancer Hospital. The end result is more parking: 1,870 spaces in the new garage to a combined 1,100 in the old ones, Jay Kasey, OSU senior vice president for administration and planning, told medical center trustees on Wednesday.
Access to North Cannon Garage via 12th Avenue Resumes on Tuesday
On Tuesday, September 11, at noon, vehicular access to the North Cannon garage resumes via Neil Avenue to 12th Avenue. In addition, the west side entrance and exit previously accessible via 10th Avenue to old Cannon Drive will close. Temporary signage will be in place to direct motorists accordingly.

In the News: SR-315 exit ramp to open this week as Cannon Drive project moves forward
Drivers heading to The Ohio State University will have some more options this week.
The northbound SR-315 exit ramp to Medical Center Drive and King Avenue is expected to reopen Aug. 15. Part of the new Cannon Drive, between King Avenue and the exit ramp, also will open the same day.
The exit ramp has been closed since May. The on-ramp to southbound SR-315 at Cannon Drive and 12th Avenue was closed a month later to expedite construction for the new Cannon Drive. That ramp will open in late November.
State Route 315 Exit Ramp to Reopen Aug. 15
The northbound State Route 315 exit ramp to Medical Center Drive/King Avenue will reopen August 15. New Cannon Drive, between King Avenue and the exit ramp, will also reopen on Aug. 15. Work on Cannon Drive near the Wexner Medical Center will continue through 2019. Vehicular traffic will continue to access North Cannon Garage via 10th Avenue to old Cannon Drive.

Cannon Construction Making Progress
It has been nearly 11 months since construction began along Cannon Drive. Phase One of the project is expected to continue through autumn 2019. In conjunction with Framework 2.0, the project will help provide flood protection, 12 acres of developable land, a north-south connection between King and Lane Avenues and will add green space in the Olentangy River corridor.
