Design and construction leaders from fellow Big Ten schools gathered at The Ohio State University in October for the 2024 Big Ten Design and Construction Conference. During the event in Columbus, industry professionals met to network and exchange information about design and construction, with a focus on target value budgeting, building design standards, deferred maintenance planning and project management. In addition to presentations and round table discussions, the groups spent time learning about different campus spaces, including the School of Music (Timashev Family Music Building) and Department of Theatre, Film, and Media Arts, the Covelli Center and Ohio Stadium

“This is the second year for the conference and we’re excited to see attendance and participation continue to grow,” said Loren Brockway, senior director and chief of staff for Design and Construction with the university’s Facilities Operations and Development (FOD). "The event is a wonderful opportunity to network with others in higher ed design and construction to share ideas and learn from each other’s campus experiences.”
