Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

In the News: Ohio State Continues to Lead the Way in Sustainability Efforts

For the third consecutive year, Ohio State Athletics has been recognized as a national leader in sustainable athletics, receiving the 2025 Play to Zero Waste Champion Award from the Green Sports Alliance.

"This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our operations team and the many collaborators who support our sustainability efforts," said Logan Gould, Zero Waste Coordinator for Facilities Operations and Development (FOD). "Delivering a Zero Waste experience at a stadium of this scale requires year-round planning, real-time problem solving, and a shared commitment to resource stewardship. We're prouf to receive this award for the third consecutive year; it's another meaningful victory for Ohio State."

The award, which was presented during the 2025 Green Sports Alliance Summit in Miami, Fla., honors sports organizations that demonstrate outstanding commitment to reducing environmental impact through waste diversion and operational sustainability.
