Custodial Cleaning Calendar Pilot Showing Positive Results

Several months have passed since the launch of the Custodial Cleaning Calendar Smartsheet and our partnership with the College of Engineering (COE) to pilot the tool. As with any new technology, there have been a few opportunities to refine the process and address minor issues along the way. Overall, however, feedback from the pilot has been very positive.

The calendar has improved awareness of upcoming custodial projects, streamlined the approval process, and enhanced communication by providing advance notification of when work will occur. These improvements have helped both Facilities Operations and Development staff and building stakeholders better coordinate summer cleaning activities.

With the start of autumn semester approaching and major summer projects such as floor refinishing and carpet cleaning nearing completion, we will be reconnecting with the College of Engineering to gather additional feedback and identify any recommendations for future enhancements.

Based on the success of the pilot, the next phase will focus on engaging additional colleges and expanding implementation of the Smartsheet calendar across campus.
