Columbus Business First recapped Ohio State's biggest construction projects over the last decade. As the outlet cites, from 2010 to 2019, the school's six largest construction projects alone totaled nearly $1.9 billion.

One big-ticket item helped the school reach that lofty spending total. The largest project of the decade – the $1.1 billion Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute, more commonly known as The James – carried three times the price tag of its nearest peer.

And live from Columbus, it’s campus construction! Curious students and alumni can observe campus construction in real-time on a new university website.

Time and Change: Building the Future is a university website that provides information about 14 construction projects. The website features interactive timelines, live video feeds, project budgets and information about the architects working on the projects, Dan Hedman, university spokesperson, said.

In the News: Ohio State seeking approval to advance ambulatory sites

The Ohio State University looks to advance three Wexner Medical Center ambulatory sites during upcoming Board of Trustees meetings.

Ohio State is seeking remaining design and construction approval for its planned regional ambulatory location at Hamilton Road and State Route 161 in northeast Columbus, a portion of design approval for a Dublin outpatient care site and funding for two enabling projects for the West Campus Ambulatory Facilities to be located on the Columbus campus.

Pomerene Hall Renovation Nearing Completion

The construction team will soon be packing up its equipment, as renovations of the historic Pomerene Hall are nearing completion. Late May 2018 is the target date for the new tenants of the building to start moving in. Pomerene Hall will house Translational Data Analytics, the Undergraduate Data Analytics Major and the Department of History of Art. Read more about the project.

Renovation at Pomerene Hall reaches final stages

Moving day is not far off for the new tenants of Pomerene Hall on the campus of The Ohio State University.

A tour last week reveals that more than a year of construction has turned one of the classic buildings on campus into a modern monument to advanced teaching and learning. Through the clamor of nail guns, circular saws and drills, the renovations are reaching their final stages.

Finding a Place for Waste at Ohio Stadium

In alignment with the university’s sustainability goals, FOD continues to support Zero Waste efforts at Ohio Stadium. Working with “I Am Change Outreach,” a non-profit mentorship program of area high school and college students and volunteers assist fans at the Zero Waste stations on Ohio State football game days. The students help Buckeye fans recycle and compost correctly and, in return, The Ohio State University Department of Athletics contributes to student scholarships supporting access and affordability.
