Be Prepared for Winter Weather

Safety is the university’s top priority, and Facilities Operations and Development (FOD), CampusParc, Transportation and Traffic Management (TTM), and the Department of Public Safety work together to offer services during the winter months to keep you safe. As snow and ice start to collect, FOD teams are dispatched to treat campus roadways and sidewalks. They remain on campus throughout the day and night, treating and plowing as needed. CampusParc crews also will be on campus treating parking lots and garages, with garage rooftops remaining open, when possible.

Events to Cause Major Traffic, Parking, Bus Impacts Through Week of 8/20

Multiple events occurring through the week of August 20 will result in roadway restrictions and closures, heavy traffic, travel and bus service delays and increased demand for parking across campus. Motorists should plan ahead, allow additional time and follow the directions of traffic officials. Upcoming events include:

ODOT to Begin Work on SR-315 between 3rd and King Avenues

The Ohio Department of Transportation's (ODOT) work on State Route 315 (between 3rd Avenue and King Avenue), originally scheduled to begin Tuesday, May 29, has been changed to start Monday, June 11. SR-315 will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction overnight for bridgework at 5th Avenue and King Avenue. Lane closures will take place between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. on weeknights and 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. on weekends. The expected completion is mid-July.

12th Avenue Water Line Break

1:13 p.m. UPDATE: The water main break on 12th Avenue has been repaired and all services have returned to normal. Questions can be directed to Service2Facilities at 614-292-HELP (4357).

 

12:50 p.m. UPDATE: A water main line break was reported Tuesday morning near 395 W. 12th Ave. Facilities Operations and Development responded immediately to assess the situation and make repairs. As a result, an emergency water outage is required in the following buildings:

Woody Hayes Drive Closed

On Friday (10/27) from 12:01 a.m. to 1:30 a.m., Woody Hayes Drive, between Cannon Drive and Tuttle Park Place, will be closed in both directions for equipment installation in the area. The Overnight and Weekend CABS route will be rerouted to Lane Avenue and will not service Ag Campus and St. John Arena bus stops during this time. Officials will be on-site to direct motorists accordingly.
