Jennifer Son is one of two Facilities Design and Construction (FDC) Directors of Projects – Wexner Medical Center for The Ohio State University. Jennifer leads a team of project managers, alongside Julie Forejt, in the execution of design and construction projects for the Wexner Medical Center Ambulatory Services, health sciences colleges, and the Enterprise for Research, Innovation and Knowledge (ERIK). She helps develop strategy and processes for FDC, including growing project management and leadership skills across the organization.
Jennifer joined Ohio State in 2024 after serving as a project manager for a local design firm. She has more than 25 years of professional experience and is a Registered Architect (Ohio) and the current president of the Cogence Alliance Central Ohio Chapter. She is retired from the United States Army Reserves.
Jennifer graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in Internal Relations and from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Architecture. She went on to complete a Master of Architecture and Urban Design from Kent State. Jennifer is the proud mom of two very good young people.
