Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) Program

Facilities Operations and Development (FOD) implemented new Automated External Defibrillator (AED) standards in all FOD-maintained buildings on the Columbus campus. The FOD program excludes the medical center, Student Life, and Athletics facilities, but those departments follow similar guidelines. The AED health and safety initiative included a FOD audit of existing devices and determined more than 100 AEDs existed in academic, administrative and research spaces. These AEDs were previously owned or procured by individual colleges or units. Under the new program, FOD will work with these colleges and units to standardize the placement of existing AEDs and the purchase of any future machines. Anyone with questions should contact Jeff Morgan at morgan.248@osu.edu or 614-292-0823.
