Kristin Poldemann serves as associate vice president for The Ohio State University Facilities Design and Construction (FDC). Kristin leads a staff of more than 50 professionals overseeing campus design, construction, and renovation projects, as well as technical support services and building design standards. FDC manages more than 800 open projects at a time all as part of a more than $4 billion portfolio. Its mission is to provide an unmatched customer experience by developing the design and construction of projects grounded in integrity, knowledge, passion and accountability.
Kristin joined Ohio State in 2007 as a senior project manager and also served three years (2015-2018) as director of projects, Wexner Medical Center. She then served as a senior director of projects, leading the $3.5 billion portfolio of “Time and Change” projects to build the campus of the future, catalyzing the achievement of Ohio State’s strategic plan and Framework 2.0 through state-of-the-art facilities for teaching, learning and research. In that role, her portfolio included the Wexner Medical Center Inpatient Hospital – the largest single facilities project in Ohio State history – a 1.9 million square foot, $1.9 billion project scheduled to open in early 2026.
Prior to joining Ohio State, Kristin worked as a project architect, associate and shareholder with MKC Associates Inc. She started her professional career at WSA Studio. Kristin has a Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Architecture from Norwich University, is a LEED Accredited professional and a registered architect. She serves as a member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
