Derick Stadge

Director of Projects – Academic and Administration

Derick Stadge is the Facilities Design and Construction (FDC) director of projects – Academic and Administration for The Ohio State University. Derick oversees all projects for the colleges and internal customers served by FDC’s Academic and Administration team. This includes leading a team of eight project managers as well as contributing to the strategic planning and leadership of FDC.

Derick joined Ohio State in 2020 and was named a director of projects in 2023. Prior to entering his current role, Derick led the $157.3 million Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Center project that included a 120,000-square-foot renovation of Hamilton Hall and construction of a new 100,000-square-foot building featuring flexible facilities to serve multiple disciplines. 

Before joining Ohio State, Derick was director of architecture for SHYFT Collective, building a design team and portfolio of projects within the central Ohio market. Prior to that, he spent 12 years at central Ohio architecture firms, leading design and construction of higher education and laboratory projects throughout the state and region. 

Derick graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Architecture. He is a licensed architect (Ohio) and a LEED Accredited Professional.
