Operations Stakeholder Insights

In Spring 2023, FOD Operations initiated a comprehensive stakeholder insights assessment to shape our organization for the future. The stakeholder insights process included more than 100 interviews, 300 surveys and multiple focus groups with a variety of stakeholders, from university and medical center leadership and FOD Operations team members, to building coordinators, outside vendors and other key constituents. Three themes emerged from these conversations which will form the foundation of our transformation moving forward:

  • Consistency
  • Communication
  • Customer service

During the fall of 2023, FOD Operations kicked off three projects focused on addressing these main themes. Working groups are made up of internal staff and a select group of customer representatives from around the university. All projects support FOD Operations renewed focus on consistency, communication and customer service by enhancing tools and services, such as our work order system, communications protocols and customer dashboards.

The university continues to grow its footprint and FOD Operations must remain good stewards of facilities and financial resources. The organization’s focus remains on best serving customers to support the teaching, research and patient care missions.
