Tina Bogac

Senior Director, EHS

Tina Bogac is the senior director for The Ohio State University’s Office of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS). As part of Facilities Operations and Development, EHSassists the university community in providing and maintaining a safe and healthful work environment for students, faculty, staff, contractors, and visitors. EHS also works to protect the local community and environment from potential hazards on campus and instills safety, health, and environmental stewardship in the work they perform.

Tina oversees a department of approximately 40 staff responsible for radiation safety, occupational health and safety, environmental compliance, medical center safety, research laboratory safety, biosafety and more. Tina was a recipient of Ohio State’s 2017 Ohio State University Distinguished Staff Award, served as a member of the University Staff Advisory Committee (USAC) (2020-2023) and served one-year terms as the USAC Staff Affairs subcommittee - Chair (2022-2023) and Vice-Chair (2021-2022).

She joined Ohio State in 2008 and served in multiple roles, including biosafety program director and director of research safety and biosafety. Previously, she worked at the University of Pennsylvania (2002-2007) as a biosafety officer and as a project manager and laboratory auditor for NSF International (1995-2002).

Tina holds her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Eastern Michigan University, a Master of Public Policy and Management from Ohio State’s John Glenn College of Public Affairs, and a Master of Business Administration from Ohio State’s Fisher College of Business.
