Twice is Nice for Kunz-Brundige Building

The Kunz-Brundige Franklin County Extension Building located at The Ohio State University has been recognized by the American Institute of Architects (AIA), not once but twice.

The AIA awarded Erdy McHenry Architecture, LLC the Merit Award and the Honor+ Sustainability Award.  A Merit Award recognizes excellence which deserves recognition while the Honor Award goes to projects that exemplify distinguished achievement in any category – in this case sustainability.

As an extension of the farmland on the site, the building was designed with a green roof and rain garden set above clear glass walls. Back in 2019, Ohio State produced a Buckeye-View: Kunz-Brundige Franklin County Extension Building video just prior to the facility opening.
