On Thursday, March 17, the lower Olentangy Bike Trail will be closed between the French Field House and Ohio Stadium.
During this time, cyclists and pedestrians will be detoured to take the upper trail in this area, crossing Woody Hayes Drive in between. Cyclists are encouraged to dismount their bikes when crossing the roadway. Detour signage will be in place and temporary lighting will be installed at the Woody Hayes Drive crosswalk.
The closure will accommodate tree removal and landscaping work adjacent to the bike trail as part of the preparations for the second phase of the Cannon Drive relocation project. Area restoration and cleanup will continue to occur in the area.
