Power Outages Impacting Ohio State Campuses

Beginning on Tuesday (6/14/22), power outages and flickering power was being reported across Columbus campus and all around central Ohio. As of 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 16, it appears power has been restored to Columbus campus buildings. Report any known issues to Service2Facilities.

UPDATE - June 16 at 10 a.m.

  • Power has been restored at Buckeye Village.
  • Power has been restored at 33 W 11th Avenue.
  • Power has been restored at 45 W 11th Avenue.
  • Power has been restored at 55 W 11th Avenue.

UPDATE - June 16 at 9:35 a.m.

  • Power has been restored at Molyet Village Community Center in Mansfield.

UPDATE - June 16 at 7:15 a.m.

  • Power has been restored at Lawrence Tower.
  • Power has been restored at Northwood-High.

UPDATE - June 15 at 4:30 p.m.

  • A confirmed power outage is reported at Lawrence Tower.

UPDATE - June 15 at 2 p.m.

  • Due to the continued power outage, the CFAES Wooster campus will be closed under the “Weather or Other Short-Term Closing Policy, 6.15” until further notice.  

UPDATE - June 15 at 12:05 p.m.

  • A confirmed power outage is reported at 33 W 11th Avenue.
  • A confirmed power outage is reported at 45 W 11th Avenue.
  • A confirmed power outage is reported at 55 W 11th Avenue.

UPDATE - June 15 at 11:40 a.m.

  • A confirmed power outage is reported at the Northwood-High building.

UPDATE - June 15 at 10:30 a.m.

  • Power has been restored to Lawrence Tower.
  • Power has been restored to Heffner Wetlands Research and Education Center.

UPDATE - June 15 at 9 a.m.

In Columbus - the following buildings were without power as of 6/15 at 9 a.m.:

  • Lawrence Tower
  • OSU Golf Course
  • Indoor Golf Facility
  • Heffner Wetlands Research and Education Center
  • Buckeye Village

The CFAES Wooster campus is also mostly without power at this time but crews are working to utilize generators where critical needs exist. Finally, on the Mansfield campus Molyet Village Community Center is without power.
