The loop in front of University Hospital and the Ross Heart Hospital will be closed starting at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, through the end of the day on Sunday, Nov. 13. Pedestrian and vehicular access will not be permitted in this area. To access University Hospital or the Ross Heart Hospital, pedestrians should use the connector from the SafeAuto Hospitals Garage to the Ross Heart Hospital. During this time, discharges or patient pick-up/drop-off should occur at the front entrance of the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute. The front entrance to Prior Hall will remain open. Valet does not operate during holidays and weekends. This work is part of the Ross Heart Hospital hybrid OR project. The new hybrid operating suites combine advanced imaging capabilities with a fully functioning operating suite to allow interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, cardiac and vascular surgeon full options for both conventional and minimally invasive procedures in one location. The three new hybrid operating rooms will be dedicated to electrophysiology (opening late this year), structural heart disease and vascular surgery (both opening spring/summer 2017).
