The development of a new Arts District is drawing closer. In conjunction with Framework 2.0, the university’s long-term planning vision, the project envisions high-quality, modern learning environments for interaction across arts disciplines. Sited between 15th and 18th Avenues, the Arts District will include new facilities for the School of Music and Department of Theatre, which will feature a home for the new Moving Image Production program.
June 1, College Rd., between 18th Ave. and Annie and John Glenn Ave. will be closed in both directions. College Rd., between Annie and John Glenn Ave. and Ohio Union North Garage, will be southbound only. Road closures will remain in place through mid-August. Traffic and CABS routes will be detoured to High Street. As infrastructure work progresses, fences will be erected around the Arts District, with an anticipated completion date of 2021.
