On Wednesday, Nov. 2, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Millikin Road north of Annie and John Glenn Ave. will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic for a crane lift. Vehicles should be removed from the parking spaces located between McCracken Power Plant and Baker Systems Engineering by 8 a.m. Pedestrians will be detoured to the east side of Baker Systems Engineering. Alternate ADA parking is available at Tuttle Park Place parking garage. The east entrance of McCracken will be closured during this time.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State University is announcing a restoration of historic Mirror Lake and the surrounding district focusing on safety and sustainability.
In November 2013, the university began exploring ways to make the lake more sustainable. A series of modifications over many decades had resulted in a body of water that was both polluted and leaking, requiring consistent maintenance and creating thousands of gallons of waste water daily.

Funding is available for sustainability projects that will positively impact any Ohio State campus by advancing current programs, creating campus cultural change and directing sustainable campus policy or project development. Sustainability Fund projects must contribute to sustainability, provide campus impact and be used to seed, catalyze or gap-fill funding on projects. Projects cannot be covered by an existing university operating budget. Starting Thursday, September 1, 2016, custodians will empty office deskside trash and recycling bins once weekly . Centrally located waste receptacles will continue to be emptied daily , and we encourage everyone to dispose of food waste in the central locations . Service is not changing for classrooms, restrooms, laboratories, conference rooms, breakrooms, kitchenettes or common areas, which will continue to be serviced daily.
