On Saturday, April 9, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. (est.) , the drive lane between Harding Hospital and Davis Heart and Lung Research Institute will be closed for a crane lift. During this time, EMS vehicular traffic should access the Emergency Department via 12th Avenue to Upham Drive, located between North Cannon Garage and Harding Hospital. Signs will be posted to redirect EMS and pedestrian traffic during the closure. Please refer to the map for direction of travel during this time.

On Monday (3/21), the North Residential commercial delivery entrance off High Street will open. South of Busch House and accessed by traveling south on High Street, it will provide access for commercial deliveries to the Barrett House, Curl Hall and Halloran House service courts.
The temporary entrance through the St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church parking lot will no longer be accessible. Please note that St. Stephen’s parking lot is not an Ohio State parking lot and anyone using this area may be subject to ticket or tow.
Beginning Monday, March 14, and continuing through Saturday, March 19, between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., westbound Woodruff Avenue, from College Road to Scott House, will be closed to public traffic * for landscaping installation near Blackburn House. The north sidewalk will be closed to pedestrians. Traffic control officers will maintain two-way traffic on the south lane for buses, state vehicles, and the eastbound public.
* Detour - Westbound public traffic is recommended to travel south on College Road, west on Glenn Avenue (formerly 17th Avenue), north on Tuttle Park Place, back to Woodruff Avenue.
Cold weather, ice and snow can increase the chances of slips and falls, so Facilities Operations and Development's office of Environmental Health and Safety wants to remind all Buckeyes to stay safe this winter. We remind you to dress warmly and wear the appropriate attire, and, when appropriate, walk like a penguin. It may sound silly, but short, shuffled steps can decrease your chances of slipping.

Beginning Feb. 22 (est.) and continuing through June (est.), some decommissioned buildings that are no longer in service near Don Scott Field are scheduled for demolition. Area residents may experience a slight increase in construction traffic Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There are no further plans for the property at this time.
Of all schools in the Big Ten Conference, Ohio State diverted the most waste from the landfill during the 2015 football season, highlighting the university’s commitment to sustainability. The results were released as part of the national GameDay Recycling Challenge. This season, Ohio State had an average diversion rate of 96.35 percent, with more than 68 tons of waste being diverted to either recycling or composting. In comparison, only three tons of waste generated went to the landfill.
Faculty, staff and students influence sustainable practices at the university through daily activities in their respective workspaces. The Green Buckeye Certification, a program that exists to inform and encourage implementation of best practices in campus office spaces to improve the sustainability performance, has expanded to include laboratories. By becoming Green Buckeye Certified, offices and laboratories demonstrate their commitment to Ohio State’s sustainability goals. Congratulations to the College of Public Health — the first location to have all offices and laboratories certified.
